About This Quilt

I created this Gift Quilt to honor the profound journey of grief and provide a comforting space for those experiencing loss. Featuring a woman resting in the feathers of a dove, it invites the grieving to find solace and embrace their feelings.

Doves symbolize sympathy, peace, hope, and remembrance, reminding us of the comfort found in cherished memories. The rich purple color is a deliberate choice, representing dignity, respect, and sympathy. Historically purple has been used as a heartfelt tribute to the deceased and comfort the bereaved.

The back of the Gift Quilt showcases a dove soaring with an olive branch, along with the poignant words: “Loss leaves heartache none can heal. Love leaves memories none can steal.” The heartfelt message reflects the enduring bond between the living and those who have passed.
