About This Quilt

The beautiful Sorors on the front of this quilt represent the generations of proud AKA women dedicated to helping each other and our community.  I want this quilt to serve as a warming reminder of our sorority’s rich legacy, your cherished memories as well as a keepsake that can be shared across generations.  

The circle of sisterhood I encompassed the women in represent our founders who have been an inspiration and a guiding light for well over a century.

I made sure to frame the quilt in ivy – representing growth, eternity and faithfulness.  Each woman is representing a different generation  – including a Silver Soror® and Golden Soror®.  A tea rose representing friendship and gratitude had to be included.   The bracelet adorns 1908®, the year of our founding.   All the other embroidered touches (hair, skin, jewelry, nails, pearls) are there to make this super soft quilt truly special.
