Commissioned by International Supreme Basileus Charletta Wilson-Jacks, this Gift Quilt™ carries the spirit of her timely theme, Championing Service, Empowering Sisterhood, Transforming the World, alongside our timeless mission: Service to All Mankind. A soft, usable keepsake meant to be passed down from generation to generation.

The design was inspired by the multigenerational sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha® women — the youngest, the Silver Soror®, and the Golden Soror®, each carrying a pillar of Madame Supreme’s vision. I made sure there were embroidered touches everywhere — words, twenty pearls, hair, features, clothing and jewelry — to make this quilt extra special.  As a Special Edition, this Gift Quilt™ has more special touches and custom packaging.

About This Design

This Gift Quilt™ was commissioned by Charletta Wilson-Jacks, International Supreme Basileus of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, especially for her Sorors.

Madame Supreme envisioned a tribute to her International Program theme — Championing Service, Empowering Sisterhood, Transforming the World — alongside our timeless mission: Service to All Mankind. When I asked her what she wanted every Woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha to hear right now, her answer became the blueprint for this design.

Three generations of Sorors stand together beneath pink roses and ivy, framed by twenty pearls representing our founders. The youngest wears a 1908 charm and reminds us to Lead the Moment. The Silver Soror®, twenty-five years in, reminds us to Lead Together. The Golden Soror®, at fifty, wears Madame Supreme’s own pin and reminds us to Lead Forward. Stitched across the base in hand lettering: Service to All Mankind.

The reverse features our shield, the rest of our twenty pearls, our founders’ handclasp, and the words that have carried our sorority for over a century: By Culture and By Merit.

This quilt is more than a gift — it’s a reminder of your sorority’s legacy, your place within it, and a keepsake to pass proudly to the next generation.
