"The pearl ivy emblem is one of my personal favorites and I love the how the beading brings it to life on this special pillow. The words, Let my life like the ivy be have always been important to me. I pledged Pi Chapter, Fisk University and these words were scripted at the top of, "the oval" in front of Jubilee Hall. This poetic reference to ivy has always reminded me that growth is a lifelong journey. My hope is that this pillow encourages every Woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha to remain deeply rooted in our values, strengthened by our sisterhood, and always reaching toward what is possible."
