About This Quilt

This Gift Quilt was commissioned by Dr. Stacie NC Grant, 26th International President and CEO especially for her Sorors.

Dr. Grant wanted me to capture the essence of the multigenerational women, each dynamic in their own right and adorned in the Sorority’s symbolism, that make Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated® the organization it is today. I made sure there are embroidered touches everywhere including the words, Finer Since 1920. And to make this Gift Quilt extra special the other side features the 5 Pearl founders, the Sorority Shield and the ideals each Zeta holds dear – Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood.

Each woman is representing a different generation – I made sure to frame the women in white roses. – representing friendship and dear too the women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated®. The bracelets adorn 1920 and ΖΦΒ. All the other embroidered touches (hair, skin, jewelry and sash) are there to make this super soft quilt truly special.

I want this quilt to serve as a warming reminder of your sorority’s rich legacy, your cherished memories as well as a keepsake that can be shared across generations.
