About This Quilt

This Gift Quilt™ was a delight to design. When International President Chris Rey invited me to create a commemorative piece for the men of Phi Beta Sigma, I was both honored and inspired. As a proud member of the Divine Nine, I understand the weight of legacy—and the responsibility of carrying it forward.

The three Founders of Phi Beta Sigma were men of extraordinary vision, establishing a Brotherhood in 1914 grounded in scholarship, service, and uplift. The front of the quilt pays tribute to their unity and purpose, featuring their portraits, the founding year, and the phrase “In numbers though were three…”—a powerful reminder that impact begins with a shared mission.

The back highlights the official crest and the Fraternity’s guiding motto: Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.Every detail—from the embroidery to the colors to the packaging—was designed to create a meaningful and lasting experience.
