Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Incorporated was founded 100 years ago in 1922 by seven young educators who had a vision for change and impact. Over the last 100 years Sigma Gamma Rho has become an internationally recognized service organization making global impact with +100K members across 460 chapters worldwide.
When International President Rasheeda Liberty commissioned me to develop this Special Edition Gift Quilt exclusively for the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated to help celebrate this special milestone – I was grateful. As a proud member of the divine nine, I want to help you celebrate this moment.
GREATER Special Edition Gift Quilt
Commemorating 100 years of sisterhood, this quilt is a soft, usable, keepsake that can be passed down from generation to generation.
I wanted to capture the multigenerational substance of Sigma Gamma Rho women through this design. Inspired by a regal presence, each woman is adorned in the sorority’s symbolism reflecting the spirit of greater women who push for a greater world.
A 5% of the proceeds from this quilt will go back to the sorority to further the mission to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U.S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action.

A QUILT TO FORTIFY YOUR JOURNEY
So much of who we are as women of African descent has been passed down from generation to generation. My grandmother taught me to quilt the traditional way when I was 21. Ever since, I have been evolving into the textile artist I am today.
Quilts can heal, inspire, comfort, and share generational stories.
I created my line of gift quilts to touch more people. They are for those quiet moments when we do the hard work of dreaming, reflecting, healing, deciding, and motivating ourselves. I want to support people through the emotional journeys of life while making it easy to give a truly meaningful gift that warms the body and fortifies the spirit.
