Behind the Scenes
Photoshoots can get pretty chaotic. Try and coordinate 3 different families including – 3 grandmothers, 3 mothers who are also daughters and 4 daughters who are also granddaughters. There was a great deal of multigenerational guidance going on!
I invited two of my dearest friends to join the Shared Beauty photo shoot. We live within the same 5 miles, our husbands, our children and our parents are tight. We vacation together and have raised our families side-by-side through it all.
This multigenerational mash up was perfect. Shared Beauty isn’t just about mothers and daughters, but also about the beauty and wisdom we see in our friends, sisters, aunts, grandmothers and granddaughters.
Shared beauty instantly made my husband think of his Mother and Sister. He knows the beauty they see in him is a direct reflection of them. They each pour into one another.
Inspiration
When I saw this Rumi quotation for the first time I instantly thought of my Mother. My mom has always been the epitome of beauty to me. She has this natural grace and elegance that exudes from her very being.
But it’s not just her physical appearance that I find beautiful, it’s her kind heart, her nurturing presence, and her unwavering love for her family.
She has always been my source of strength since day one. I know she is proud of me and I want her to know the beauty she sees in me is a direct reflection of her. As her daughter, I’m honored to share her beauty.
